Universally, from the beginning biting was the natural method of controlling nail growth. But now, if the nails are bitten, it exudes nervousness and a feeling of being ill at ease. We have scissors and nail files and the average person keeps their nails short and shapely. There are a great number of people embarrassed by the unattractive state of their unkempt, bitten nails. To some, it is an addiction or habit. To others, it portrays automatic comfort, even though they are totally unaware of the act of biting. There is one way in which we can stop biting and help them grow healthy, elegant and strong and that is by listening to a horror story with a happy ending, in a state of deep relaxation, combined with all of the positive sub-conscious suggestion, to ensure you cease the habit. The story must be listened to in a relaxed state of mind where all negative feelings, such as embarrassment and lack of control are eliminated.

CAVEAT 2

Each recording should be played when you are sitting comfortably, somewhere free from any chance of disturbance. If you fall asleep while it is playing, you should start again, preferably sitting up. We recommend that you practise Deep Relaxation once or twice each day until you achieve a feeling of release. The recording should then be put aside for future use as a ‘booster’ if and when required.
